Back then, Shin-ei used soft plastic enclosures to produce pedals that were "cheap" in the best possible way. This is an OEM model sold by UECKS in Japan. If you take a look inside, you’ll see it’s quite solidly built—perhaps that’s just typical of Shin-ei.At first glance, aside from the pedal itself, it features only an ON/OFF switch and INPUT/OUTPUT jacks. As the name "WAH WAH PEDAL" suggests, it is a wah pedal, but the sound is more of an "io-io" effect. While the pedal’s range of motion is limited, it offers a wide enough range of sound variation. It might be better suited for use as a filter rather than a traditional wah.It has a uniquely quirky appearance, and different color schemes exist depending on the effect type. Among the OEM models sold by KAY is the "FUZZ TONE MODEL F-1," which was a favorite of U2 guitarist The Edge (he actually used it on "Elevation"). All of these are extremely rare models that have rarely appeared on the market in recent years.
